    TA3550ci with C2820 code

I have to look at one of these tomorrow and although I am familiar with the older Kyocera (KM3035-7530) am not that familiar with this model. Looking at the manual it seems to be a transfer belt problem. Any pointers guys? as i don't like following manuals as they often take you along the wrong road.

The customer complained of colours being all mixed up then the machine went down with a C2820 code.

How were you able to solve this? I have one popping the same C2820 code, however, it goes away for a couple days once I reboot.

It sounds to me like the transfer belt isn't turning. On earlier Kyocera's it's common to have the inner rubber ridge of the transfer belt peel off, and get tangled in the idler pulleys. Usually though you just get registration jams. You should be able to run the motor in U030. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

          Just replace the belt.

I found out a coworker had this before and replaced the belt unit with no luck so he had to replace the transfer drive anyway. I've ordered the drive unit. It's fairly inexpensive.
