    [Jamming] Kyocera CS255c Exit Jams

I have a customer with a Kyocera CS-255C Copier which they've had for about 1 1/2 years. We are getting consistent paper jams at the exit of machine more so as the machine gets hotter.

I've heard Kyocera came out with a new exit section and revised fuser for this problem. Something about exit roller shafts warping when they get hot. I don't know how new this modification is but when I log onto Kyocera technical site I do not see one listed. Anyone know of this and if so do you have a bulletin release number I can look up. Thanks as always...

You are right, there are no bulletins mentioning fuser or exit unit changes. What jam exactly are you having? You can try doing a print with big door opened and the switch pressed to see if it will pass. If it does, it's likely that the exit unit is failing.

The roller warping issue shouldn't cause your jamming....what it caused was this awful squealing noise that would drive customers insane....and the fix was just a plastic L shape bushing to keep the shaft from rubbing on the frame...there was also a mod with the springs in the fuser pressure gear....they would break and cause a clicking noise and cause your pressure release to be out of alignment...but if you have a newer fuser these problems shouldn't be there...and wouldn't cause jamming...just annoying noise...
