    Kyocera fs1128mfp

Hey guys just left customers office scratching my head.
Scanning from doc feeder every 3rd or 4th print will look like a negative, solid blk with white text.
    Works well on glass.
I installed a maintenance kit with same results. I leaning towards scanner unit but a costly item to replace.
    Is scanner unit repairable?
    Thanks for your input.
    Paul I have service manuals.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

        Inspiring?
Meatloaf on the beach, porn, color machine vs. mono machine.
What more could a tech ask for in a thread reply. LOL
After some research I believe HyTech repairs the Scanner.
Who knows, after I get this little box from hell on the bench and tear it down could be a bad connector.

        Thanks anyway fellow techies.

        Meatloaf, lol lol lol

Wait a minute here! The more I think about this scenario the more I become enlightened & inspired.
I replaced a fuser on this box a couple of weeks ago and pushing those flimsy connectors on those flimsy boards off & on
might just be the bad boys.
I'm going to pay a visit to the "box from hell" on Monday and I'll post an update on the thread then.

I'm pretty sure I've seen this before only I think it was an FS-1135. I ended up going for the scanner like you did. In the process of taking the machine apart, I noticed the ribbon cable that runs from the scanning unit down into the machine to the engine board (I think). I noticed it was loose so I "jiggled" it back into place. Put everything back together and problem went away.

This may not help at all but it's something to look for. I've always been concerned how much these little desktop printers vibrate during shipping. Something has to slip loose every once in a while.
