[Misc] Kyocera KM-C2525E scanner error light on

Kyocera KM-C2525E displays the following message when you put sheets in ADF
    'reset originals in document processor'
Warning light is on beside the scanner button & I can't use 2-sided either.
I have replaced the HD & loaded the latest firmware but still no luck..

Machine will copy from the glass and print no problem.

What jam conditions have been recorded? Have you cleaned anything in the document processor?

From your post I get the idea that you think it's something related to image processing, but it could be as simple as a dirty DP sensor, or a worn roller (keep it simple stupid). =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

just had the same problem about an hour ago .its your hard drive .you can try hdd scandisc but i dont like your chances .put in any 80gig hard drive (second hand if thats all you have)then do a scandisk .

then you will have the fun of setting the scan card up again .

Yes , need to replace the Hard Drive. To copy off the ADF or duplex you need a working Hard Drive.

              Hi kkendric,

The machine will do 2-sided printing but not copying..
I've replaced the HD & loaded the latest firmware, is there more I need to do than just load the firmware e.g. set-up scanning again etc.
The customer never used it as a scanner in the past.

The hard drive in the 6030 8030 is used for storage. there is no firmware stored on the hard drive.

you will have to setup scanning again as addresses and settings are held on the hard drive .if they have not used scanning before make sure they have a scanner unit on the machine .it sits above the on off switch and next to the punch outs for a fax unit.also requires an extra cap5 cable.

I must have missed a clue' you apparently have multiple problems. First the scanner error is associated with the Scan card on the main PWB, the scan card is for scanning to the network. the reset documents problem is associated with the document processor and hard drive. This machine will have two network connections one for the printing system and one for the scan card. Which hard drive did you replace, the one attached to the main board or the optional one in the printing system?
