If you didn't have one of those you might try a DV420 developing unit from a Stratos (2540, 2560, 2040, 3060), but I'm thinking that the programming on the EEPROM would prevent it from being properly recognized.

Thank you blackcat, I will try it and give a feedback to the forum. I am determined to get the machine up and running.

Well, the puzzle or headache continues! I managed to get the developing unit DV-420,brand new, removed from a maintenance kit specifically meant for the km2550 copier, atleast according to the service manual. After inserting this new part in the machine, I was confronted with the same error code C0960,I felt my body temperature rising, dropped a bead of sweat from the forehead, all hopes seemed dashed!what else can the son of a woman do?The DV-420 costed me $260.

So don't replace any copier parts.

Oh! You wanted a constructive suggestion. Um ... bring your power quality analyzer to document the problem. Shake your head sympathetically. Print off the results. Advise your customer to employ an electrician to install a dedicated circuit.

No need to touch the copier (other than a U163 fuser reset). =^..^=
Hello Everyone, I just happen to be facing a similar problem with one of my clients. They use a 2.5KW generator and 2000W stabilizer. Do you think its very possible that the problem is caused by generator and i should recommend a more strong one. Because fixing the problem without fixing the cause may not make things any better.
        Thank you

I think that this has been covered in excruciating detail. You should draw your own conclusions. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
          1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
          2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
          3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
          4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
          5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
