Kyocera Mita 3035 Windows 7 scanning

Tried scan to pc. When starting up Scanner File Utility, I get an error: Faulting application name: NsCatCom.exe, version: 3.16.0.9, time stamp: 0x45d26136

There is no FTP available, and scan to email (couldn't even get this option to work) is not an option for our customer. I've set up scanning on Konica minolta's / Samsungs / Canon's / Ricoh's.... I can't seem to get this machine to scan.

    Thanks.

Make sure the the IB23/NS30 (scan card) firmware is up to date. Early versions of the scan card firmware do not have SMB (at last check it's at version 1.4.11). When the firmware is up to date, you will be able to enable SMB in the service menu (U512), then the SMB menus become visible in the web interface, aka "Command Center".

If you're not familiar with the scan card firmware it loads a little differently than the other Kyocera firmware. There is a special utility to load the firmware. You use a network connection directly to the scan card. There's a nice little readme file included with the utility.

Make sure that you are using the most current version of the Scan File Utility suitable for Win7. Also now you have the option to scan to SMB. The typical problem with these older machines is the port #. Either you can open up port 139 on the PC, or you can assign the port # in the IP, i.e.: 192.168.1.2:445

    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.

Thanks for the quick reply Blackcat. Scanner utility I'm using is v3.16.9 (up to Vista) From Kyocera website. I just attempted to download v3.17.11, but I'm getting a Download error. I'm not finding a windows 7 version.

As long as I know that it can be done, I'll dig further.

      Thank you again.

I thought that sim 512 was only available to 6030/8030/C2520 series machines.
I have quite a few 3035/4035/5035's still out. I checked one yesterday with 1.4.11 on the NS-30 and did not see sim 512 on the machine.
I there something I have missed to enable this sim? If the is, I can't believe I have missed it all these years. It would be great to enable scan to SMB on all these machines I have out still.
If you have these set up with sim 512 Blackcat, what else do I need to do?
          Thanks !!

Aw shucks! Had my heart-rate increase for a little bit there. (Haha). Can't expect too much from these older machines.
              They still run awesome though.
              Thanks Blackcat.
