Have you actually checked the feed unit? It may be bent actuator causing it to not feed as the paper is hard pressed against it whilst the lift is happening.

      Re: KM 8030

I know this is an old machine, but there are a few things you should check:

      1) Does it have the copper colored separation spring at the front position only, and is it set to 2 points higher separation setting than the number written on the frame in blue marker?
      2) Is the Paper Empty Flag bent of broken, and moving freely? If you have a customer that overloads the trays, I've seen 7 flags broken on two machines side-by-side, within a 1 day period. Use the part number from the KM-620/820 (KM-8030 does not list a separate part number).
      3) Are the mylars in good shape? They'll get paper cuts that are not readily apparent that can snag the leading edge.

Yes, there are separate tire numbers.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
