    Kyocera MFP FS-6025 printing problem

I have a fs-6025 and printing images from Mac on USB to printer has been fine up until now, but have been noticing marks and black patches on prints. Images here:

Any idea why? The paper is thin, around 70gsm. Could this be the reason? The toner is half full.
When I test with 80gsm copier paper and use just the photocopy/glass scan the problem doesn't seem to occur.
    Thanks

Re: Kyocera MFP FS-6025 printing problem

I'm betting that these lines only appear on images with very heavy fill, like the ones you posted. Ordinary text probably does not demonstrate the problem.

Images with 80% to 100% fill tend to cling to the drum, relying on the star wheels on the drum unit to prevent drum wraps. Those star wheels must touch the unfused image to help separate the paper, and at those places the tiny tips of the star wheels disturb the image.

Yes, heavier paper will make use of diameter separation of the drum, and touch the star wheels less. That's about the only practical solution, short of doing less image fill.

I take it you eventually figured out why noone was responding to your original thread. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
