    Ta 250ci Xfer belt builds up with toner

    I have a Ta 250 / 300ci that the transfer bilt has built-up with toner causing lite copies. I cleaned it about 2 months ago and it has returned. I used " rubber roller "cleaner on it last time, but I am hoping there is something that will last longer. Also I have more than a dozen of these out and this is my only one to have built-up on the belt ( so far ). Ideas?? Has anyone else seen this??

      I'm not sure i'm following you. You have toner building up on transfer belt and it's causing light copies? That seems unlikely. Is it same with internal prints and copies? Are the light copies the only problem you are having?

          Newer style ITB's came with a cone shaped spring that inserted into the ITB cleaner unit exit hole.
          It was suppose to help keep the ITB cleaner unit exit from blocking up with toner.

              If you're talking about an ozone buildup on the belt (white or light gray film on the belt) you might try a product called Blow Off Rubber Rejuvenator.

              One of our members (tmaged) has been using this product with success on the Gemini series.

                  I did use Blow Off Rubber Rejuvenator to clean the belt, but it was Black not gray. It reminds me of toner build-up as it came off the same way I have had other things built-up with toner. The belt was out of a TA 400Ci that we swapped into a TA 250Ci. It ran a few months before it built-up the first time and ony a month and Half this time. the Original belt had the rubber strip on the edge come loose and scrounge that belt.
                  These TA 250Ci's are starting to fall apart it seams, and my boss dosen't want to put money into these do to the high cost of everything. Hard to keep M/A machines going with out biteing the bullit and getting parts. Anyways is there a cause for this that can be corrected? The Blow-off did clean the belt but it seems like its going soft due to the cleaning. It dosen't seem like it is back-up due to the toner waste spring that is causing this.

                      I would make sure the Firmware is up to date as these machines had a ton of revisions for image quality and such. And its a free try to fix

                          The primary transfer belts in the Voyager, VoyagerE, and Saturn all come apart the same way. The inner rubber strip starts to peel off, then gets tangled in one of the pulleys, ripping the belt to shreds. Usually the call is for J31 jams, since the primary belt isn't turning at all. For a while I was saving every primary transfer that survived 300K to the PM, so I could use it as a temporary fill in for the ripped ones, to get to the next PM. =^..^=
