So the problem is coming and going. Sometimes when they make a copy they get a message saying "Memory Full". Other times they can make copies no problem. I'm assuming it's either a failing HDD, or DIMM....though DIMM's don't often fail. There's no rhyme or reason to the issue either. A copy job of 1 page is no more likely to cause the issue than one of 100 pages. They've had it happen on both small and large copy jobs.

Re: CS-4035 Memory Full when copying
RAM memory is cheap. Start there first. You'll get the the exact same error if the HDD is dead/dying. There's nothing important on it. It's an option for printing. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Re: CS-4035 Memory Full when copying
Thanks for the reply blackcat. I went ahead and replaced the HDD. Just had to set scanning back up. Since it was intermittent, I decided to go with the HDD first. The machine was manufactured in 2005, so it's way past time for an IDE HDD to go. Especially since HDD's fail far more often than RAM. I'll know tomorrow if that was the issue.Comment

Yes, it's very common for machines of this age to have hard drive failures. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
