    TA305 ?

Hey I was introduced to a TA305 the other day, first time meeting and I am not in love.
    Questions:
Is this box strictly a web based unit?
Can I input IP address directly thru control panel?
    Log on and password?
I browsed thru OP Manual to no avail.
Any input on this little beauty would be helpful before I order service manuals.
    Thanks

They are a good little machine. It is always good to have the manual. Yes you can input the ip through the op panel. The login and passwords for Kyocera's are the speed of the machine and 00

      Are we talking 3000?

Personally, I don't see the default machine password anywhere in the service manual or operation guide but it's actually Admin:Admin (both user and password are capitalized as shown). The Command Center default password is admin00.

e: I found it. This footnote was on page 9-30 of the Operation Guide in the section 'Adding a User.'

I never looked for it in the manual. That is one of the benefits of doing the training courses.

A tech that never looked in a service manual?
Why you must be "Super Tech".
I've heard of such a person but shrugged it off as just a fable.

I can't even imagine that. I'm going to have to try some of that ... what is it called? "Training?"

I thought they just tossed you out in front of the bus ... then you get to try to scramble out of the way before it runs you down. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
              1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
              2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
              3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
              4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
              5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Thanks wragsdale, I did notice that info in Op Guide. Unfortunately I do not have a degree in Jiberish, you bet it wasn't a service tech who authored that mind twister.
I did use the admin/admin combo when I first tried to set-up network but was a no-go.
I'm going to try the other combos as tonerkiller suggested.

OH NO, I am looking in the manuals often. I ment that I never looked in the manual for the login info. Like I said the login and password are always the speed of the machine and 00.

Most new Kyoceras use Admin Admin as a default user as well as the speed combo user. Remember Admin Admin is case sensitive.

Success! The speed thing did the trick! She's all networked and all is fine in the land.
                        thanks

Except for the ones that aren't. BTW, not a bad series of machine, not super user friendly if you utilize all the bells and whistles but for general walk-up copying and printing they run pretty good.
