    USER LOG USING LDAP

    Dear Friends

I need some help about a TASKalfa 3010i, i installed one at a client with around 200 users so for authentification and scan to email purposes we used LDAP. Configuration went on smoothly.

The only problem we are facing is that in the historic ( log ) on the web interface of the photocopier :

    1. The user information of the prints are displayed see attached photo No 2 example user d.sookun2
    2. The user information of scan to email is NOT displayed see attached photo No 1, we can see the destination but not the sender information
    3. The user information for copies is also NOT displayed see attached photo No2 all the scan does not display a user name

In the attached screenshots only one user is displayed, that is Admin. This one is a local user on the photocopier. I want the LDAP user to be displayed in the logs.

Note that when using an LDAP contact an error message is displayed on the screen of the photocopier
FAILED TO GET THE NETWORK USER INFORMATION.

    Thank you for help

    Re: USER LOG USING LDAP

All the LDAP does is connect to an external address book. You need to either turn on job accounting & set up users, or network authentication to use active directory.
    Hope that helps !
