... on a KM 3551ci. After some questioning, my co-worker discovered that it only happened when scanning birth certificates in color. Changing to monochrome scan or reducing/enlarging avoided the prohibited originals error. =^..^=

1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Had a similar problem on a 5551 at a Country Club, they were copying a coupon from a Wholesale Shopping Club that had a bar code and some color in it. The machine would lock up and display "Turn off Main Switch" on the panel, no codes but it produced one very fuzzy copy of the coupon before locking up, if you copied in B&W no problem.Comment
