500ci not stabilizing?

Hello all,

I've got a 500ci in the office that refuses to stabilize. Occasionally after randomly printing/copying, it will decide to do so, but not often. It just continually runs, not trying to add toner or anything - just cycles through warm up/cleaning/whatever else they do. At one point this MFP was completely in pieces and being used as a part's machine. Everything functions properly minus a few minor color issues (don't have the spare toner right now to run calibrations), but even when I had all toner in it before it still wouldn't stabilize.

Any ideas/suggestions?

It sounds like it's trying to add toner, that isn't there.
How do you know it's not trying to add toner?
I would put in new toner crtgs.

I think you've answered your own question. It's trying to calibrate/compensate for the color being off. Fixing known issues is the first step to fixing unknown issues.
