    KMC2525 developer replacement

i just finished looking through the kmc2525 service manual and noticed no service mode function to
initialize a new black dev unit.
Am I right to assume the unit initializes upon new installation.
do you do any other calibrations after installing a new black unit?
    thnx

it is in the system setting, under adjustments. I do not have one in front of me to give you the exact procedures, but if you get into the system menu (button is on the control panel) and go thru the adjustments section you should be able to find it.

The developer stir will be done automatically when you power up. The machine will recognize the new EEPROM.

Once at ready you'll want to do the:
        1) In simulation U467 turn Off Auto Color Registration. Exit service mode. In simulation U467 turn On Auto Color Registration. Exit service mode.
        2) In System Menu, User Adjustment, Color Calibration, select On.
        3) In System Menu, User Adjustment, Color Registration, enter 4-digit admin code, load letter paper in tray #1, print calibration page, on the page at each group of lines select the line in color that most closely aligns with a black line, enter the number of that black line for each group, press complete when all the numbers are entered, reprint the calibration page to re-check the results (should all be at zero). Note: For aligning the yellow groups shine an ultraviolet flashlight across the yellow lines. Like magic, the yellow lines appear dark gray for easier identification. Ultravioltet flashlights are commonly found at firearm or hunting gear suppliers for tracking injured animals.
        4) In System Menu, User Adjustment, Half-Tone Adjustment, enter 4-digit admin code, follow the prompts.

        That's it. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
