On a 5035 with print and scan boards our IT guy always saw a FTP selection when you pressed the scan key, we have 2 machines here that when you press scan there are only 3 selection and the 4th which is normally the FTP selection isn't there? We have flashed the machine and controller, reset the scan board through service mode, held our hands above our heads and spun around in circles(thought for sure that would do it)........... The machine See's the boards as the green lights are on and it reads the firmware version for the controller and scan card.............. What the heck are we doing wrong or missing? Oh great KM connectivity wizards please help so us Monica guys can learn!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks in advance!

Your IT guy needs to do some simple research. It needs to be setup through the web browser and server both.
Make him work for it this time, he made you run in circles.Why do they call it common sense?

The U-511 was the fix as it was turned off. The big question is where the heck do you find that mysterious U code its not in my service manual? Also do they have a separate manual for the print system? I need to reset the NIC and cant find the info anywhere?Comment

Scan to FTP was added in a later firmware update. U511 is in the 3rd revision of the service manual.
I believe the print system NIC is the IB-21e, and I think those have a jumper somewhere to reset it.Comment
