    kyocera taskalfa 300ci

WOW! recently found out about smarka. what a surprise.
Glad I found y'all. I've never posted a question on this site.
This is a valuable resource for me.

IT was suggested (no names) I do a "U410 or U411 auto scan adjust" for this machine. (B/W a little faint).
So, I accidentally/on purpose started procedure before realizing you have to have the "test charts" to do it. didn't READ INSTRUCTION details. DUMB, I should know better.
I have the manuals. (for what it's worth)

Machine will print & receive fax fine.
WILL NOT scan or copy. solid black image. HELP!!

Anyway, was hoping someone out there could help me find/get these adjustment charts.
    Part #'s are:302FZ56990, 302AC68243, 303JX57010, 303JX57020.

Or maybe someone knows a better way to get the scanner working again.

    Thanks everybody.

The only way to recover the scanner is to buy the test charts, and they're expensive. Contact your local Kyocera dealer. The most expensive one is over $100USD. If you ever have to replace a scanner control board, you'll need to follow this same procedure to calibrate the CCD and/or CIS.

It's a good idea to read how a simulation is executed in the manual before you try it .. but you've already learned that, I hope. =^..^
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

There are 5 screws. Did you get them all? One at each corner by the latches, two in the waste container opening, one screw dead center in a deep valley. Have you removed the toner cartridges first? Have you unplugged the connector to the hopper? =^..^=

After you remove the five screws, you have to press and hold the two levers located on each side of the holder and then pull towards you.

                Thanks,T
Tech said he did all of that, and still something holding it in the middle.
Doesn't want to force it and yank it off.

BY the way, you sort of hijack this thread. This is a new problem and you should have started a new post.
anyway, Five larger screws and on the right side of that same holder there is a door with a connector and one smaller screw to be removed also. also the waste toner entire tray should be removed. pull the tray out and push in the two tabs on either side and pull out.
then there is nothing that would hold that cover in there. pg. 326 of the service manual.
