    FS 1128 feeder jam 70

This little feeder is pulling the paper past the pick roller assy and just past the next set of rollers just before the scan glass, when it jams. It is a intermediate jam, and I was wondering if this was due to the cable or or if maybe something else. The copier has 14k copies, and about 10k scans, so it is relatively new, but has been at the customers location for a couple of years. I have replaced the pickup tires and sep pad, and the white idler rollers due to toner build up on the last set, and if i am not mistaken the drive clutch.

as always help is appreciated................................ but bs is not

The DP cord might be the cause, the cord on these and the FS1135's will cause issues that are intermittant. You might want to try the cord.

had a few 1128s with this problem, always turned out to be the timing sensor.

Have you had that section completely apart? That's the area that seems to gather foreign objects, and it's hard to view. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Check to see if those idle rollers are making contact with the opposing transport rollers. I've seen those black plastic clips bend the fingers that hold them in place when the doc feed cover is opened with a little too much force. If it's not that, then I'd put my money on the timing sensor like cm79 mentioned. Haven't had harness issues on these like the 1135s have.

            Thanks for the input guys.

I replaced the timing sensor earlier this week and I haven't heard back from them but I will keep you posted if it comes back.
