    [Misc] FS-2100

bumping/skipping noise coming from registration drive area. Turning upper reg roll by hand I can feel gears jumping. Visually all looks OK. Right side of upper roller seems to have quite a bit of play up and down.

Not terribly familiar with this model. Is there a bushing issue here? Or is there a gear that typically cracks?

The MFP predecessor: KM180 has problems with cracked registration roller bushings, due to the fact that it's rather difficult to remove any paper jam, and some enduser get rough with the machine. I've only done it once, but I do recall that it's a pretty unpleasant job. The bushings release from snaps on the underside.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
