when we have any dv related issue on any of the big Muratec models the manual or customer support really doesn't help. they just say to clean idc and manual add... is that seriously all we can do to improve dv quality . is there anything else to look at in service mode?

Muratec does not make the models larger than desktop models. Most are Konica Minolta. Cross reference your models and ask under that forum. Which one do you have?
If it is a KM machine. We run the Stabilizer 1x, and Gradation 3x times. You will be surprised by the difference!
