We have a current customer who has asked us if we can connect there muratec to scan, We have set up samsungs scx 6550and 6345 to scan is Muratecs the same set up procedure or is it a different set up. Thanks for info.

Now why would you think the setup is the same for a completely different machine made by a different manufacturer?

Likely because the MFX 4550 and the Samsung 6345 are the exactly same machine.... Muratec slapped stickers over the Samsung badges! Lol even the web interface still says samsung with the mfx 4550 as does the print driver ! (SCX-6345 Series or the like).... Yeah so they're the same!

Because if you knew anything about copiers, instead of how to spam service manuals, you'd know this is a common practice.As for the OP's question, this machine has all Samsung software on it. So it is exactly like those Samsung machines.

To set up the 4550 to scan, you'll have to create a shared folder on your client's workstation and then go into the browser and set up the folder short cut under "scan to server".
