    HP M4555 fax confirmation

user states that they had a transformer blow in area. ever since, the machine has printed out fax (send and rcv) confirmations for the same job about every 10-15 seconds. they have turned the confirmation off and rebooted and still printing these.

I'm not familiar with these at all.

any one have any idea? I found the service manual and all I have found that might work is the cold reset.

    Re: HP M4555 fax confirmation

My suggestion is to remove the fax card, and confirm that it does not continue to print confirmations. If it does not, I would re-install the fax card, and try to initialize the fax card:

1*-102 will initialize the page memory (that may be enough)
1*-100 will initialize the fax parameters.

For details you'll need the manual for the specific fax card GD-1320.

If these two sims do not solve your problem, you may need to change the fax card. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
