    web site pictures

, I'm having trouble with my web site on godaddy.com.
I tried to get their human to help me he said I would have to buy
their software in order to re-size my pictures.
Is there another way to re-size pictures? I'm not
into software apps so I just don't know.

    Any suggestions?

You can use something as simple as Paint.

Just open the picture and hit CTR-W

When I've needed to re-size images for Splash displays on Kyocera, I have used IRFanview. It will open a wide variety of files, and has a lot of features. Will it work on your webpage? That I don't know. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

        SwisSev and Blackcat,
Thank you for the prompt reply. I have tried paint but not knowing
the program very well I did not know I could do it with paint.
I have not heard of IRFan, but I don't look for this stuff very often.

        Thanks for the tips

Hello, I know this post is old. I just want to share Online Image Resizer - Crop, Resize & Compress Images, Photos and Pictures for FREE website link with you. If you want to resize your pictures in future then you can visit that website. Over here you can easily resize your image and they will delete it after you done resizing your image. I also use that website to resize because it is easy to use and it is free.

I agree with Blackcat. Irfanview is the program you want. It is free and very simple to use.

You can resize images within the html code itself,

              <img src="images\fsc6025.jpg" width="130";>

You can also have height="xxx" but specifying both is unnecessary unless you want to stretch pictures.

Irfanview does all that and more.

That works if you are putting the picture on the web but it does not actually resize the image file to the required size to use as a copier screen display. Again, IrfanView, free. simple and fast.

The moment I saw it like 10 years ago IrfanView is amongst first 5 programs I put on my new Windows install.

Thank you for the information. Since that post I started using Paint. It's on my computer and its free.

Also, I have retired from the biz and live in Northeastern Az. Four seasons, a small town, lot of good fishing and camping
to catch up on. But I'm glad to see this web site is still up and running.

Thanks for all the great help and advice over the years.

                      Merry X-mas everyone.
