    [Misc] OKIDATA Quality?

    We keep getting requests to sell Okidata MFPs to supplement our main line. I am always reluctant to dilute our technical staff by introducing a product from a different manufacturer. In the past we have had models produced by other companies rebadged as our Brand but the technical support has been well below the support for they products actually produced. This has always resulted in support on our end being less than our normal standards. Sales always seems to be in favor of such arrangements but their commitment stops at the time of sale leaving us to support what I call orphan machines. Does anyone hear have opinions of the quality, reliability, support and profitability of the current Okidata MFP Line.

      In general, Okidata:
      1) has very rich fill, high saturation
      2) which means also high toner usage
      3) costly AIO imaging units
      4) costly toner cartridges

      And some very bizarre electrical issues. =^..^=
      If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
