[Dead] OCE TDS 450 scanner

Goodmorning everyone!

I have a problem with the scanner part of a tds450 system.
The controller which is an optiplex 740 seems to work ok(it boots normally),it can connect to the printer(you can print with it)
but the scanner constantly shows Connecting to controller.
All i have tried is to take apart all the boards to look for anything unusual but i didnt notice anything.
Searching the Service manual i didnt find anything related to this problem to help me troubleshoot it..
Since my knowledge on these machines is kinda limited,has anyone encountered anything similar or has any suggestions on
what could be the fault here?

Have you double check if there is no problem with your cable running from the machine to your controller? It should be a firewire cable. Try putting it to another slot in the firewire card.

I've tried putting it in another slot and it does the same,changed the cable it self nothing changed..
