    OKI C9650 LED Head Replacement

It seems like one of the LED heads on my OKI C9650 got damaged so it needs to be replaced. I have a set of LED heads from another C9650 I've been using for parts, but I've never swapped the LED head. Besides being very careful when swapping them as to not scratch the black strip, are there any more complex settings I should look into (RAM reset, etc.) or just swapping them will suffice?

    Thanks in advance

Just be very very careful with the ribbon cables and connectors. It self-calibrates. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

nope. biggest problem is getting the FCC in place without buggering up the end.

now IF you DO bugger it up..wrap masking tape over the buggered end... take to a flatbed paper cutter ( big handled sucker ) and carefully cut the very end off
        re insert

        machine takes it from there

Thanks everyone - I was careful and didn't mess up anything when replacing the head. Printer is now working well.
