    Riso GR1700 Paper Delivery Problem

Hi. I have Riso GR1700. Machine prints OK but the paper stays on the delivery belts and does not move even though the delivery belts are turning. It seems like there is some sort of suction holding back the paper. Another sheet is then printed and lands on top of the previous sheet and the machine then cuts out because it has not ejected the paper. This happens every time. Prior to this Machine running OK but did make some rattling noise just before this happened.

Would be grateful for any advice. Thanks

Normally you can hear the suction fan. If you remove the receiving tray, then the metal plate behind the receiving tray, you will reveal the two screws that hold the transport assembly in place. Remove those two screws and you can slide the assembly out. The suction fan is located on the underside. While you have it out, check the set screw on the drive belt pulley. If that set screw comes loose, the belt will turn but you can stop it with the slightest resistance. Loose set screw is more common than bad fan.

Thanks Baphomet you were spot on. Set screw on drive pulley was loose.

Tightened up and all working OK.

      Also thanks for quick reply.
