    OKI ES2632 Printing Garbage

    Hi

    I have an OKI ES2632 that intermittantly prints pages and pages of garbage. One of my colleagues has been to this machine several times to solve the problem but without success. I'm not sure of everything he's tried, but I at least know that he's tried uninstalling and re-installing the drivers. I also know that he did a scan for a virus known as BugBear that apparrently causes some printers to print garbage for no reason.

    I'm hoping somebody has any ideas... Maybe this is a known issue. I would like to do a Firmware update but i don't have access or a link to a site where i can download this info. If anybody can help with this as well I would appreciate.

      Can you narrow it down to one particular application?

          It Was from all applications. Strangely, more so when printing one specific mail from outlook, and pretty much anything from powerpoint. I say strangely, because after updating drivers, testing, etc, i diagnosed the problem to be the USB cable connecting the device to the PC. After I changed the USB cable no more problems were experienced. In fact, the users were so impressed that they've asked to link an additional 10 users to the machine. The sad thing about this is that one of my top senior Techs attended to this fault at least 5 times without success.... Anyway, thanks for the interest in assisting.
