KIP 3100

Hi , I just got a kip3100 with IPS ver 7.0 .I am having lots of trouble with the HPGL drivers for autocad. I could install the drivers but I am not able to create custom paper sizes. I did a work around and now can create custom paper sizes but can only select tray based on the media. I have to differentiate each roll based on the media type. It dosent show 2 rolls. Just a Roll and then depending on tracing or paper , it selects the media. It is possible to use the machine as such for a short time but then too there is no manual feed option available. The tech sat on it for a whole day.

P.S: Kip request 7.0 couldnot be installed when downloaded from IPS. We had to install 6.2

Could some one guide me through with the installatio nof autocad drivers.

Yo David, i thought in this world theres no other ppl having kip3100 hahaha ... do u encounter the problem when u print double sided? I mean when u print the B side from bypass its quite dirty a bit. Both of my kip got this same problem. I will try to connect to computer by next week hehe

its surprising to see you in the kip forum to. Anyway I have a kip 3000,3100 and oce tds400. I dont have issues with 2 sided prints.

For info kip3100 scanner mirror (5pcs) are very fragile. there are all scratch within half year resulting a lines copy and my supplier said they having difficulty to order the parts (thats there combo) so i got no choice to do the mirror at glass shop with every angle of size must be same. Anyway are you manage to get the better price for the toner kip3100?

p.s. why they design without sorter ??

the kips is under service agreement . I get the glass replaced when ever there is a scratch and i dont have to worry about parts or anything . There is lots of toner available in the local market market .

Sorter = too big and i dont have much use for it , man power is cheap here

Yo David these few days i encounter a big problem on kip3100. It show paper rolls empty on main user interface but i did load 2 AO paper rolls and it shows paper rolls exist on sub user interface. I contacted our supplier and they ask us to do the fully recovery using DVD disc. The problem is KIP3100 package is not included the recovery DVD only the manual CD. So we need to wait around 10 days for the recovery DVD to arrive and everything is back to normal after recovery. Make sure you got the bootable DVD recovery disc.

dude, my machine is under service contract . I only have to shout at the tech (for a change).he he . The machine will be fixed in a day .
The thing I hate about the KIP is every time you need a software reinstall you have to connect an external DVD drive. You got the service manuals for this one?

yeah everytime loading software need to plug in ext. DVD, usb mouse and usb keyboard. I got a service manual, circuit diagram, scanner diagram and parts catalog. All in PDF file. MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service
