Well, I have a Brother machine in the shop that if i make a copy of a sheet(ex: a HP 3700 configuration page which has cmyk gradients on it) the lighter gradients are horrible.The black is especially grainy and overall everything is grainy and light. Is there anything known to cause this. This machine has 3000 pages on it he already relaced the drum do to a scratch that was on the unit. I replaced the waste container and also tranfer belt hoping that would bring the machine to 100%. The transfer life was at 68% remaining,drum at 94% remaining,fuser at 96% remaining and laser at 98%. I dont see any reason why this should not print a little better than what it does (other than the fact it is a cheap machine). Any ideas?
