[Error Code] 1104 Oce 2110 Varioprint

Can someone kindly please direct me to the right direction.

Here is my situation,

we have a power conditioner installed to take care of irregular current issue. Recently we constantly getting error code 1104, which said "master hole detection error" . Except the shuttle motor, can anything else cause this problem?

Oce uses a 5 digit error code, they'll often drop the 1st character if it's a 0 (this is the case - you actually have a 01104). The first two (01) indicates photoconductor, the center digit (1) indicates severity of error (in this case, it requires tech access) and the final two digits (04) tell you what component on within the photoconductor area is the issue.

The Oce boxes built in Venlo use a photoconductor belt instead of the typical drum, this belt is usually 2-3 meters long total length. To avoid image burn in over long runs, the belt is shuttled from back to front by a few centimeters; to avoid the belt walking off its frame, a small hole in the belt is 'watched' by a photoreceptive sensor and the direction of the belt shifted whenever the sensor is blocked.

Now, the first time this happens, the machine logs an 01504 code and will ask you to restart (or it may restart on its own). Subsequent occurrences elevate this from a machine recoverable error (01504) to a technician recoverable error (01104). At this point, a tech needs to open the machine, reseat the belt and reset the error code.

Resetting the error is the biggest problem with Oce' Venlo boxes. Service mode is only accessible with a laptop hooked up to the machine, running a proprietary program within Lotus Notes and with a license key in place. This is why you can't get just anyone off the street to fix it.

Edit to add: The power conditioner is not likely the source of the code; the belts on these machines walk outside of their shuttle range on their own.

Thank you so much for your explanation. But here is the problem, the "01104" error code keep coming back, even in the middle of a print job. Any suggestion(s) ?

The most common reason is that one of the belt tensioners wasn't pushed in all the way when the belt unit was last serviced. Everyone that's worked on an Oce has done this at least once. There could, of course, be electrical or mechanical issues, or even something as simple as toner covering the master hole sensor. Without pulling the unit out myself and looking, this is all just speculation.

This error is caused by the shuttle motors, sensor on the motors (defect or dusty) Sometimes even the power print 22pba06(above the led print head)

If all this does not work you can put the OPC in the mittle of the frame and disconnect the wires goning to the shuttle motor. This disables the suthling of the OPC. Sometimes even this does not work then the frame on which the opc is installed is bend causing the opc to go on 1 side. The motors then do not have enough time to correct it then the control software shuts the system down.
