Re: Oki B4400 black copy
If the drum is not charged by the charge roller, the image will be black. Maybe the charge voltage is not stable. Check if the charge roller makes good contact with the drum. Be carefull when you try to open the drum cartridge, you can make a real mess when you're not carefull.
If possible, try to post an example here.Comment

I hope it lasts for you, but my experience tells me you'll be back. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Re: Oki B4400 black copy
Blackcat, what do you mean? The drum unit has 99% life remaining. I dissasembled the whole printer and it had toner everywhere. The toner cartridge was refilled and poored everywhere. My guess is that in this case it was a problem of imperfect contacts. But maybe u could help me out a bit here and share your experience with me and the rest of the forum. I will surelly be gratefull.Comment

Re: Oki B4400 black copy
My experiences with primary charge loss are not specific to your model Oki. Usually once it starts arcing or losing contact, just cleaning or re-assembly is not a long term fix. My understanding is that these drum units are only sold as assemblies. I think the problem will probably come back, and you'll have to replace the drum unit. One can hope for the best ... but I just don't think you've seen the end of this yet.=^..^=
