    Oki C9650 Dirty edge

I am having a problem with dirty edges of toner (mainly black) on the edge (control panel side) of the paper. I have replaced the toner/ drum/belt and fuser but no difference. If you print a 30% tint on both edges of a sheet of paper, the edge with the dirty marks prints more like 80% as though it is distributing the toner unevenly.
Any suggestions welcome (it happens on all types of paper worse on a silk finish)
    Thanks in advance

Maybe the paper is causing this. These printers can handle a lot of different sorts of paper, but sometimes the paper isn't suitable for printing on this machine. Did you specify the paper weight or is the printer measuring the weight?

It happens on all papers and boards coated and uncoated. Tried various paper weight settings as well as automatic The silk is a digital silk paper.

You can also change LED-Heads and see if the problem shifts to another color.

I'll give that a try and come back with the results, thanks

Tried changing LED head on black with magenta head no difference in marking. It does not mark when I set it to Transparency setting but then it has an overall mottley background tint.

Can you post a scan of the problem?

You've replaced drum/toner/belt/fuser and no result. The only thing I can think of is the High Voltage Board (beneath the transfer belt).

Did you change just the transfer belt or the whole thansfer unit? I have had a problem similar to this that turned out to be the transfer roller.
