Okay, this is partially in reference to this post, but a different set of questions that I cannot seem find any answers for.
After getting error code 616 Incompatible Toner, I have attempted everything I can thing besides EEPROM reset(s). I can access the Maintenance Menu, but I cannot access any of the following (second picture is FYI):
Okidata MFP ES3640e Parts & Service Manual.jpg
Okidata MFP ES3640e Parts & Service Manual.jpg
As a result, I installed the Fiery controller into a known working machine, and got the same Incompatible Toner (616) error.
I have tried resetting the CMOS; however, there does not appear to be any real factory default setting in the documentation that I have other than the EEPROM resets that I seemingly cannot access.
Other than resets, I do not have any other options available other than a firmware reload that seem realistic to me (but with no firmware software available).
There is one other thought, I might be able to switch the BYN chip/board (but I do not think that is the issue, and the documentation quite murky).
Any direction is much appreciated.
