Can you recommend a laser printer that duplexes onto A5 paper

    Hi

Can any of you recommend a laser printer that can definitely auto duplex print onto A5 paper without having to turn the pages over manually.

A lot of laser printers state that they duplex print and that they can handle A5 paper but that does not mean they can automatically do both at the same time.

As long as you are feeding the A5 paper the long way, you should be able to duplex on nearly any machine capable of duplexing. 210mm is the typical minimum paper length to pass through the machine.

If you're trying to feed the paper the short way, forget it. Very few laser printers can handle paper in 148mm length, simplex or duplex. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I totally agree; I've never seen a printer that can duplex SEF (Short Edge First).

However, you may want to check the specs for any printer you are considering. I could see a potential issue with A5 paper in North America, as it is shorter and wider than Statement size, which is 8.5" x 5.5".

You did not state which part of the world you're in, and your profile does not say, either.

Well this is odd, I'm confused.

I had an online chat with a Technician on the 'HP' website about their laser printers and he said that none of their laser printers were able to do automatic duplex printing onto A5 paper.
