Trying to help a customer on something I don't usually work on. Machine is in a bowling alley. They run the recap sheets that teams enter their scores on. Gradually the print moves up and out of line when it should list the team names, bowlers names etc on the proper lines. By the time it gets to the 3rd or 4th triplicate(its actually 4 part continuous forms) the names are too far up on the sheets. Wondering if theres any calibration procedure. I replaced the motor and a gear that was missing a tooth but still the same. Also scrubbed the big black drive roller with no change.

Re: Oki ML420 Dot Matrix
Did you set the paper length in the machine? If the paper length is not correctly set, then the 1st page is ok, and all pages after that, the print moves farther away. Top of feed can also be wrong.
If you press Shift+Select and then Print, the machine will print all menu settings. With Group you can select the Group, Item selects a setting in that Group and with Set you can change a setting.
You can reset Top of Feed by removing the paper and press Shift+TOF.
This machine has no display so this is the way to change things.Comment

Re: Oki ML420 Dot Matrix
Thanks for the reply Eric. I will check next week. I only do copiers but this is a bowling alley that I practically grew up in and I have the copier in there that they're doing score sheets on til I or someone fixes the Oki. They did have 2 lightning hits a few weeks back but I don't know if they had this problem before or not. After this I may not see another dot matrix. Gotta admit it comes apart pretty easy though. I will repost.Comment
