    Kip 7100m

I'm hoping someone here can steer me in the right direction. I've got a Kip 7100m with the two roll feeder that does not recognize the paper. The screen says "Roll 1 Not Found", "Roll 2 Not Found." It still holds the correct paper information size and type.

In service mode I was able to see the paper sensors PH6 and PH7 change state from low to high when paper is present. I can also hear the feed clutch click in service mode. So I have some confidence that the modular drawer connector is not damaged or insulated with paper. Naturally I looked too. I've already replaced the main PWB, no change. I can see that the drawer is being provided with four 24.1vdc lines. I'm fairly sure that the drive is being provided by the main body, and I can see it turning.

    What am I missing? =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Well it looks like you are not going to get a lot of help on this one. I am not real familiar with this model of KIP but check out this website for KIP info. It is a bulletin board website like copytec but for KIP and other brands. Real good info and I have used it for years on KIP & Xerox

Funny you should mention it. I got a PM from another member with the same information. It looks handy ... but does not address the "Roll 1: Not Found" situation. Now I've got two machines, a 7100 and a 700 that both have the same problem, the same day.
