    Rainbow 2 Yellow Developing Unit

Panasonic DP-C354: I've been through the service handbook end to end. Nothing about removal/installation of the yellow developing unit.

I got most of the screws out, then got to thinking "I don't even have the part yet...". Does the toner feed auger have to come of first or separately from the developing unit? Does the transfer belt assy, or any other major assemblies have to be removed prior? It looked like all the screws were out, yet the thing wouldn't move. Any advice? =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

In order to remove the developer unit you don't need to touch the transfer belt at all. I'll post up you the info needed in pdf format that you're lookin for.

Update: It healed without my help.

I certainly can't explain it, but it's working. This morning I went back to my customers location, and there was no evidence of the quality problem. Yellow was filled in perfectly. I ran color registation, and auto toning, but only just to do something.

The weird part is the toner available percentages. Since last visit C, M, & K all reduced by 1 or 2%. Y reduced by 46% in less than 2000 prints. Now it's unlikely, but entirely possible that someone was printing yellow ledger size wallpaper sheets. My customer had installed a new Y toner this morning 1/2 hour before I arrived.

The only thing that I can conclude is that the developer was undertoned (for whatever reason), and somehow toned back up before I returned. I'm still holding the developer in case I need it later. It's just too weird, and hard to explain.
