E3-40 - Copy Density Sensor output adjustment

    1. Sensor connector is disconnected.
    2. Sensor is defective.
    3. SPC PCB connector is disconnected.
    4. SPC PCB is defective.

    Hope that helps.

You can turn off F5-25 in a pinch if you need to wait on parts.

          black density error

just to add that when the copier is allowed to operate under low toner (u13) condition, developer is depleted quickly , and when toner is replaced, the machine will overtone and results in a dirty machine. We have converted all high speed 35xx-60xx series copier back to using OEM toner. This drop the frequency of e3/40 calls to almost zero. If youb are using katun or densi toner , be sure to leave a spare bottle and change the function to " STOP" when toner is out.

            1. Clean inside the machine
            2. Change the developer if needed
