    Fuzzy copies in color mode

I have a C354 that is giving copy quality issues. If you use a black and white original and make a copy in black mode the copies are perfect. Take the same original and make a copy in color mode and the copies come out fuzzy. It almost looks like the print is shadowing. Enternal tes prints look great. I have checked and cleaned mirrors. I am thinking maybe ccd. Any input will be appreciated.

First, how many copies through the ADF ? This model has scan glass that etches real easy, from 200 - 400k or so. If the ADF glass is etched the color is effected more. Run a copy from the platen glass and one from the ADF. If they are both bad, then could be CCD or how the colors are layed on the IT belt.
Also, there is an auto tone adjust in the general or copier setting and a color registration in service mode...F8-30 i think....
Failing to plan is planning to fail!!!

Function , General settings, manual copy quality adj (01), Then key op mode, auto tone adjust (60), then follow the on screen instructions to scan the 2 printed test charts (A and B).

I agree with the other techs. Performing color registration, manual copy quality adj, and auto tone adjust could fix your issue. Also, these should be done at every PM interval. (120k)
