    DP 2330 E01-40

I have a problem with a 2330 that is got me good. I pulled out the fuser assembly and replaced the fuser web and when I reinstalled the fuser the machine comes to ready and when you make a copy it goes straight into a E01-40 code and I can seem to figure out why and I have taken it out and checked everything and installed it over and over and it strill makes one copy and goes into the same code. Any help would be appreciated. I have to be missing something.

This Parts & Service manual can now be purchased for $11.77 and downloaded immediately after payment from The Internet's largest collection of manuals

Well, according to my Toranomaki. an E1-40 is "Book Fan Motor Rotation" I have no idea nor could I find the "Book Fan" in the parts book but there are only a few fan in the unit so.... from what I was able to gather it should be #459 on page 27 of the parts manual or the fan in the upper back of the copier. Now you could do a little trouble shooting by going to F4-11 and look at the 4th place for a 0 and that tells you if the Book Fan Lock Signal is normal. You can also use F4-53 to turn on all the fans on high speed. Anyways , check that out and see where you get. If you've got a Toranomaki take it with you it will help. Good luck.

I chased down the book fan and rotated it manually and out popped a screw. Problem solved, who knows how a screw got in there unless I dropped on but I had all the screws accounted for.
