We ran 100 copies this morning the way you requested without a jam. The tech swapped the fuser exit turnaround solenoid earlier upon the recommendation here earlier in the thread. We have narrowed it down to that unit by swapping it with another (unfortunately one we cannot steal from permanantely) and were able to run 1,000 copies without a jam.

ok, i take it when u compared the two inverting units, u found no differences between them, including the x2 springs. i'm still not convinced its the actual inverting unit, but i've had issues with the tyres been dirty, ME20 is a good cleaning solvent that scrubs those tyres up well, also check the black sensor actuator within the inverting unit, it might be worn, swop it with the known working 1 and test it. Also at the rear of the inverting unit there is a white lever that when the inverting unit is reinstalled, it attaches against a white lever thats connected to another solenoid, that solenoid maybe lazy, its located within the frame, and requires the rear cover removed to replace.

You said you replaced the parts inside it, so I assume you replaced the actuator, (DZKL000047), I've never seen it, but we had a tech add the lever to our car stock based on his experience, (the lever that opens the rollers, steel shaft, white plastic tabs). And again, I have to reiterate, check my first paragraph, on the post preceding your picture. If those plates are not contacting each other, there will not be enough pressure between the rollers to pull the paper back up through the inverter.

I really don't think you need to replace the unit, just make sure it's adjusted properly.

Have you seen this bulletin? Getting any J31 also? You can remove the bypass cover and watch the pages come out of the duplex. I have noticed Panasonic jam codes can "bleed" to other parts of the machine when the main motor goes bad. SB-11-J31_J82-(M-0214i)__DP8060Series.pdf

This is weird, I had this exact same problem today, in fact I have had a couple, exact same symptons as the first post described, in this case and the previous cases I have "fixed" it by putting another side door on off a scrap machine and it works fine, I have swapped over everything on the door to no avail and only swapping it seemed to work, they all had finishers on, so I guess it could be a pull on the door maybe, when you test the gate in input/output, it didnt sound quite right, abit "wolly" if that makes sense, there is something on that side door making the gate play up. Hope that helps for anyone in the future.

I put a zebra reg clutch kit on one time and somehow got the belt on the rear of the duplex transport back on wrong and I think it looked like your picture. When you looked at the belt it looked OK but when manually turning the pulleys you could see that the rollers would never be able to turn.

I just came across another one today (J-50) that was pretty much as I had described. First it was obvious that they pulled on the finisher because the lock plate was no longer flush against the exit plate it mounts to on the exit door.

I pulled the inverter out, after replacing the actuator, (worn, but not terrible), I check the paper guides, and found there was a gap in the plates...pic1.jpg

Sorry it's not a better pic, but I loosened the screw on the side, and squeezed the plates back together, and tightened the screw....pic3.jpg

I checked the one on the rear side but that one was still flush against the plate, it's kind of tough to make out in the pic but i think it's there...pic2.jpg

(I'm not sure if they will all be easily visible, but I put circles around the points that I am trying to describe)

I also added the fuser upgrade, the UFR had been replaced by another tech the previous call. The copier performed fine, but of course won't know for sure for a couple days, the PM is about 35k away, so hopefully it will be then when I find out if it worked or not.
