Panasonic DP C322 Tray One Copying/Printing Crooked

    Hello,

Has anyone experienced skewing from tray one with the Panasonic C322? We had intermittent jamming, replaced all the feed rollers but it still feeds crooked.
The guides are fixed in the tray... Can anybody help me out Please?
    Thanks,

First make sure the paper stack in the tray is level. Folded corners of only a few sheets on one end down below can cause skewed feed. The spring for the pickup roller pivot assembly can also get mislocated, causing missfeeds. With the feeder removed manually actuate the pickup solenoid and inspect that the spring is on the bubble post on one end and the other end has a squared end that pops into place. The other obvious causes are torn paper in the transports. Hope this helps

As mentioned above, check for torn paper pieces between tray 1 and the right door. I have also seen a NP sensor (no paper) knocked loose and causing skew. Does it only skew from tray 1? If the other trays do not skew, in theory, the paper path should be clear. There is also a one-way clucth in the feedhead that can go bad.

Thanks guys, it's only skewing from tray1. We did have to re-install the spring (per parts manual) and it seemed ok. We cleaned the one way bearings on the main paper feed shaft and resurfaced the shaft with a green scrung pad. I also leveled (reformed) the lift plate which was higher on one side than the other. Everything looks good on the assembly and the door, but I did notice if I drove the roller manually after lining up a single sheet of paper, it feeds crooked. Could a bent shaft or something like that cause these symptoms?

(I really feel bad for that bunny now that I've read the caption above, hehehe)

I have never seen a bent shaft, but in theory, if one side of the roll is pulling more then the other, skew can happen. As for the bunny, he's a tough old sob, but some days, he could use a helmet.

Try replacing the upper Intermediate roller. I had this happen on a c354 last week. The part number pjzrf2170p . item number is 1835 in the manual Have not heard from them so far. Monty
