    [Jamming] J-81 DP-C265 Jams when duplexing

    Hi. First time post.

    Jam only occurs when in duplex mode. Paper overshoots the ADU 1 sensor on the first pass leaving the fuser. It jams on the reentry hitting the ADU 1 flag actuator. This happens frequently. I did an F4 -314 to check ADU sensors, they are working correctly. Intermittent issue is what's throwing me off. Any tips will be helpful. Most of the jams are logged as J 81, a couple of jams were logged as J 18.

    This problem occurs in all paper trays.

          Does it stop in the door or when it trys to reenter the machine from the paper transport? If it jams into the sensor when it attempts to do the second side, you have a slipping clutch in the paper transport. I have seen this a few times. Ref# 2731 part# L9EAAK000006 in the parts manual.

              @ onetek: Thank you for the reply, I will bring a clutch with me today.

              @ mojorolla: The jam occurs at reentry, if so, I will bring that part out with me today. Thanks for the reference #.

              I'm certain I will get that fixed today thanks to both replies.

                  Yeah thats the one clutch I meant, been replacing quite a few...

                          Not sure if my replies are getting through.

                          Thanks Mojo for the help, it was indeed the exit transport clutch. I ended up using a main motor drive clutch from a 6020 parts machine I had in the shop. I will return to replace that one with the new clutch I have on order, but that fixed the problem. (6020 had 500k so i'm not confident in the long term reliability in that clutch, but my customer has been up and running since )
