I serviced a DP-1820 today for streaks. The streaks were from the charge wire, I think. Sharps and Ricohs will do the same thing. Usually a little bit before PM time. This Panasonic has 252k on it. It had a corona assy replaced at 214k. The streaks were intermitant
. I used scotchbrite on the wire then cleaned. Saw one streak, about 1/4" long afterwards, then no more. My question is, do the panasonics in this series need corona wire replaced often? Is it better to replace assy or wire and grid? Your input would be greatly appreciated. By the way, this is our first service call on this machine. Another company serviced it before now.
