[Error Code] Add Toner U13

I have a DP-1820 with 251k on it. The customer put in a new toner and after it cycles to add toner I get a U13. The machine is adding toner and the auger system, motor auger turns. Cycled several times and still no good. Cannot get past U13. Not sure, but looks like the developer may have 75k on it. Also the drum has a film of toner on it. Not fused to the drum, you can wipe it of with your finger. I am going back in the AM and try a fresh start with new developer. has anyone had this U13 issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just had one the other day, the dev unit is seized because of build up in the auger bushing, and also one of the gear is broken. I would remove the dev unit and try to turn the auger manually and would also check all the gears. Also check the the toner hopper coupler, this coupler sometime would not spring out all the way because of toner build up. Hope this help.

Thanks Delboy. I just got back from there. I replaced the developer and all seems ok. I checked the coupler and it springs out. Also checked the production date to see if the bulletin for that problem applies. It didn't. I think the company that used to service it did not follow PM checklist. I think I got it. Will update post if not. Thanks again for your response.
