I have a DP4520 that has a spring pop off a roller from time to time. I go out, put the spring back on, and all is well. It is item # 8309 in the attached doc. Left hand side of copier, below the fuser. Anyone had this issue? I did notice alot of paper curl on the 14" church bulletins, 2 sided. Maybe jam removal causing spring to come off? Any known issues on jamming in this area? Runs just fine while I am there.12-16-2011.pdf

Re: DP4520 jams
Personally, I have found the spring tension in this area to be critical.
When mine start to wear out, I don't try to McGuyver them, I just replace them as a pair.
They are a cheap part and it costs a lot more to keep sending me back.
Also, while you are in the area, take a look at the inverter sensor actuator.
Usually it has a spring attached but it falls off a lot.
I don't put the spring back on, instead I glue a medium size e-ring to the actuator where
the spring usually attaches. The weight of the e-ring allows the actuator to return smoothly every time.
