    Panasonic DP-C264 message on display

New customer called and said their Panasonic DP-C264 has a message on display "STR replace 2nd trans roller" or something like that. Anyway can I get just the 2nd trans roller and replace it? or is it part of a maint kit? Part # would help and how to reset message. Thanks for the help

You can just get the part or the assy. or just reset the counter and run. They are in the 120k and 240k PM kits as well. If you do the numbers, it is best to go with PM kits from a dollar standpoint. Do you have any more Panasonic color machines you service?

I reset the counters at 120k and run them until 240k. There are rare instances when the STR or fuser belt won't make it to 240k, but I address them as they fail. As mentioned above it is MUCH cheaper to buy the kits as opposed to the individual part. Availability of the kits are another story. I just waited 4 months on a back order for 2 kits. That being said, the machines were 4 months behind on the 240k PM and they didn't miss a beat.

You can reset all the PM counters in F8 service mode. Part # for the STR shows as PJZEF2176PU.

Failing to plan is planning to fail!!!

Agree with the above. WAY cheaper to buy the PM kits than it is to replace things individually. From what I remember, a separate fuser is almost the same amount as the whole kit.

I just reset them. Those maintenance kit parts last way longer than the rated life. I always just reset the fuser, ITB belt, and STR......I have machines in field lasted 400k before I have to do a 'real' PM on it.
