    panasonic DP-C264 error code

Customer just called and said they now have this code , E03-80.
I posted about this machine a few weeks ago. It had a message "STR replace 2nd trans roller". A few replies said to replace the maint kit and it is on order.I was waiting for the maint kit before going out there (about 70 miles away). The manual says this is something with the ITB? Only thing I could find in the manual is fuser reset. What do I have to do to reset this code? I would like to get them up and running then I will go back with kit at a later date. Thanks

This code is probably due to a dirty transfer belt initial position sensor. Pull out the IT belt unit, and on the side of the belt thats toward the rear of the copier, you will notice a small silver rectangle. It has to be clean so the optical sensor can read the position of the belt.

On the rear of the IT belt is a silver sensor that tells the machine where the belt is. The belt can fray on the ends and damage that silver reflector patch. You can remove the inner exit tray, then remove the black toner bottle. You will see a black housing with wires going to it. Remove the box and the sensor for the belt detection is there. Try cleaning that sensor as toner can build up and cause E3-80.

Failing to plan is planning to fail!!!
