    7722 problem

    Hi everybody!
I cleared the maintenance sign in my 7722 copier a few months ago (thanks to this forum!).
Anyway, the copier started to have a problem; the copy was very dirty, and there was a clearer row, perpendicularly to the rollers.
Yesterday I bought "everything"; 2 rollers, developer, drum, cleaning drum blade and I replaced everything. I put new toner cartridge and I ran F8-C9 and F8-C14, as advised in some posts.
Well, now the copy is very clean but that clearer line persists. It is so clear, that it is nearly unreadable.
Since I think I replaced "the heart" of the copier, I would like to know if somebody has any idea about what to do to fix the problem.
    Thank you very much!
    Christian

Well in you did change evrything you said the machine should be at least clean, but you can not run f8-09 and f8-14 on a konica copier those are codes for panasonic copiers. could be something as simple as a dirty transfer corona or slit glass, but if you didnt change everything you posted i would call a qualified tech to correct this problem, good luck

Hi Luther, thanks for prompt answer!
The copier is a Panasonic FP-7722.
I will not call the qualified tech because they quoted me a new drum 250 euros, toner 400 euros (I paid 55 euros for drum and 220 toner). At worst, I will buy a new copier.
I will check and i will try to clean what is possible.
      Regards, Christian

sorry i misread the post, remove the transfer sperator corona unit by opening the front door and lowering the center conveyance section and slide out the unit it probably has toner on it as these nachines tend to run dirty, clean but be careful there are small thin wires running from front to back, also abobe the drum there is another corona youy can remoce with one scre and slide it out that is the charge corona housing, try cleanin these 2 and it should help, good luck

          Aaaarghhhhhh!!!!
I cleaned everything with care. Now the copier doesn't work - I get blank copies. I tried to run F8-C9 once again, but nothing happened...
Maybe it's time to buy a new one?

Now i disassembled the corona unites, reassembled again and ran F8-C9. The copier works, but the "clear line" problem persists.
            Thanks for help anyway

Last thing, maybe it helps to understand where is the problem. I tried to make one copy, keeping open the top cover.
              Here are the results:
              A4
A4 on Flickr - Photo Sharing!

              A3
A3 on Flickr - Photo Sharing!

As you notice, the problem is far worse in A3 sheets.
              Hope it helps to help
              Ciao, Christian
